Watering the track

Despite the smooth surface track preparation has been difficult due to the warm weather

The club has been dogged by indifferent results and small crowds since the recent takeover by the Malletts

Paul Fry

Newport's new captain joined after the injury to Craig Watson and his form has belied his advanced age (44)!

Jordan Frampton

Frampton had an inconsistent start to the season but he has hit form now. He scored 12 paid 13 from five rides today.

Heat 11 - Neath leads

Former Wasps favourite Chris Neath leads Paul Fry as Rye House draw level at 33-all. Shelby Rutherford was excluded after a horrific fall in the original running of the heat.

Heat 12

The original running of the heat saw Tommy Allen and Linus Sundstrom out in front. But Allen came a cropper on the final bend and was disqualified.

Heat 12 rerun - all square

Sundstrom passed Andersson and Holder on his way to an easy win.

Heat 13

Chris Neath is pursued by the impressive Leigh Lanham and Paul Fry but honours are even and the score remains tied at 39-all.

Wasps seal victory

After an inexplicable fall from Chris Neath (who was disqualified) Lanham and Frampton outpace Sundstrom to give the Wasps a six point victory.
